Genets are small cats, nocturnal and solitary, preferring woodland habitats. Their omnivorous diet includes small mammals, birds, invertebrates, fruit, carrion, and even ground nesting birds.
Genets could be seen on the way back after a afternoon game drive, or on the way to or from the lion feeding at night, their eyes reflect a bright orange colour in the light.
